Recently, the national key R&D project "Key Technologies for High-Performance Synthetic Rubber Industrialization" led by China National Petroleum Corporation was held in Sailun (Dongying) Tire Co., Ltd. for the production of double B-class tires and the application of long-life capsules. Demonstration on-site evaluation meeting.

The evaluation meeting was organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. The participating experts inspected the tire manufacturing production line and the long-life capsule application demonstration site, and listened to China National Petroleum Corporation, Yiweiyi Rubber Research Institute and Sailun (Dongying) Demonstration report on applied production of Tire Co., Ltd.

The evaluation believes that the functionalized solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber and rare earth butadiene rubber industrially produced by PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Branch and the bromobutyl rubber industrially produced by Zhejiang Xinhui New Materials Co., Ltd. are used in tire treads. 225/55R16 tires produced by self-developed in-situ reinforcement wet mixing technology, low-temperature primary rubber mixing process, and electronic irradiation cross-linking process. It is approved by IDIADA Automotive Technology SA in Spain. In testing, the rolling resistance and wet skid resistance have reached the EU Tire Labeling Regulations A and B respectively.

The products produced in batches using the self-developed long-life vulcanization bladder formula and preparation process technology have been certified by third-party users and have an average service life of 622 times. The service life is up to More than 610 times.

The demonstration of double-B tire production and the application demonstration of long-life vulcanization bladder are four high-performance synthetic rubber industries following functionalized solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber, narrowly distributed rare earth butadiene rubber, bromobutyl rubber, and star-branched butyl rubber. The rubber application demonstration after the production demonstration is also the last industrial production application demonstration of the project, marking the successful completion of all industrial production demonstration work in this national project.

The functionalized solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber, rare earth butadiene rubber, and bromobutyl rubber used in the production demonstration of double B-grade tires were all independently developed by the project team. So far, the project has completed 4 high-performance synthetic rubber material small-scale trials, pilot-scale research and industrial production demonstrations, and finalized 3 industrial product brands, developed 2 high-performance tires and long-life vulcanization bladder manufacturing technologies, which not only realized the tire industry The localization of key core basic materials has also achieved a breakthrough in the preparation of world-class tire products using key core basic materials for domestic tires, which will increase the average proportion of key basic materials used for high-performance tires in my country by more than 15%, and tires will reach double-B level. And above, it saves 5.5 million tons of fuel annually, leading the comprehensive upgrade of the domestic synthetic rubber and tire industry chain.
